    1. NYX Eyebrow Cake Powder to shape and fill in your brows so they look ~sharp~ but also super natural — I find that powder is way more forgiving than pencil and lends itself a softer (but still-with-oomph) look!

    Sarah Han / BuzzFeed

    90% of the time I think the itty-bitty brush that the kit comes with works just fine, but if you want more control or just a longer handle, I use the angled tip on EcoTool's double-sided eye brushes.

    Promising review: "Best value eyebrow powder product. I use this powder every day — it never runs, smudges, and looks very natural. I have a MAC brush I use to apply, but I'm sure the one in the package is fine. If you are thinking about using an eyebrow powder, you can't go wrong with this for the money — I had been using another eyebrow powder that was three times the cost of NYX, and this is equivalent quality. The color match was perfect too." —Quynh Nguyen

    Read my full review on NYX Eyebrow Cake Powder for more deets! I've had mine for a year and a half and it's STILL my go-to. And I've only made a dent!

    Get it from Amazon for $4.99+ (available in seven shades).

    2. A pack of Peach & Lily Lazy Day's All-In-One Moisture Pads that'll streamline your skincare routine during rushed mornings without leaving out any benefits — as a toner, essence, *and* moisturizer, one drenched pad leaves your skin feeling plump, nourished, and hydrated (all without feeling the least bit sticky!).

    @peachandlily / Via instagram.com

    Key ingredients include hyaluronic acid, ceramides, spinach, broccoli, carrots, pomegranate, and bamboo extracts! Whew, a delicious mouthful.

    Promising review: "I got this at the recommendation of Gothamista on YouTube and I'm so glad I got it! I have a long skincare routine and some days/nights I'll feel really lazy or not in the mood to do every single step — that's where these come in. One pad all over my face and neck, and I've done the essence and serum step all in one. It's immensely hydrating to the point I feel the plumpness and moisture hours after applying it. It's not quite sticky or tacky, just moist. It's such a refreshing feeling, and there's enough moisture in one pad to cut it in half if you want to make them last. I can't wait 'til their other products come back in stock because I want to try them all! Thanks Peach & Lily for your innovation and wonderful ingredients!" —Mia

    Get it from Ulta for $39.

    3. A vegan, cruelty-free Winky Lux Watermelon Jelly pH Lip Balm with pH-reactive ingredients that glide on clear and transform to your perfect pink for a fruity-fresh pout that stays smooth and moisturized alllll day. Keep one in your purse, desk, bathroom — everywhere!

    Winky Lux

    Promising review: "I was skeptical about this lip balm, but upon putting this lip balm on, I was blown away. This product is so much smoother and pigmented than all the others pH lip balms. It smells like watermelon candy, but is not too overpowering. This lip balm provides so much more moisture compared to the other lip balms, and trust me, I've tried them all. The only thing I regret is not buying this product sooner. This lip balm reigns supreme, and is now a staple in my collection." —Wrecker4488

    Get it from Winky Lux for $16.

    4. A lightweight, buildable layer of Supergoop! Daily Correct CC Cream to deposit juuust the right amount of tint so that any texture evens out without feeling like there's a bunch of goop on your face! And it has SPF 35!

    Elena Garcia / BuzzFeed / Via buzzfeed.com

    Promising review: "What is this sorcery?! I’ve got rosacea and sensitive skin, and I want good coverage but hate looking like I’m wearing foundation. SUPERGOOP IS AMAZING. The coverage is buildable, it doesn’t settle into fine lines or pores, and the stuff lasts all d*mn day. (Seriously. I’m a runner and sweat like a beast.) A little goes a long way and I’m happy to shell out for this miraculous goop. The only downside is the available shades which, while good for me, are not nearly complete." —Erin M.

    Get it from Amazon for $34 (available in four shades).

    5. A Milk Makeup Astrology Tattoo Stamp, so you can proudly rep your sign all year 'round — because, let's be real, it's a way of introduction these days — and probably impress a lot of people/strangers who ask if it's a real tattoo.

    Sarah Han / BuzzFeed / Via buzzfeed.com, @milkmakeup / Via Instagram: @https://www.instagram.com/milkmakeup/p/BrfreXEnOB7/

    Apparently they are water-resistant too (read: not water*proof*).

    Promising review: "I just got my first Milk Makeup stamp and I'm over the moon. It's such a simple item, but it's very special to me. I stamp mine by my eyebrow ring above my eyebrow, where I have always wanted my sign tattooed (but I don't think I could handle that, lol). It stamped nice and clean, no extra lines or bleeding, and has some serious staying power!" —SpookyPumpkin

    Get it from Sephora for $12 (available in all 12 astrological signs, as well as regular heart/peace sign/star/ying yang stamps).

    6. EltaMD SPF 31 UV Lip Balm to keep your lips looking hydrated (thanks to Hydromanil, which promotes both immediate and long-lasting moisture!), juicy, and protected from the sun — because, yes, lips are prone to sun damage too! It contains 5% transparent zinc oxide, so it's perfect for sensitive lips and it's also water-resistant for up to 80 minutes, so like what *can't* it do?

    @eltamdskincare / Via instagram.com

    It's fragrance-, paraben-, and sensitivity-free, and noncomedogenic — so no wonder dermatologists love and recommend it!

    Promising review: "I have been using this for a few years on the recommendation of my dermatologist. I have sensitive skin and most UV lip balms are sticky and cakey, which breaks out my skin, but this is a smooth cream that is moisturizing and gives you sun protection." —Cynthial L. Ellison

    Get it from Amazon for $11.

    7. A Maybelline Facestudio Master Chrome Metallic Highlighter for imparting a gorrrrrgeous gold (or rose gold! or peach! or topaz!) highlight with a subtle glitter effect that's densely packed so you don't experience any messy fallout — just jaw-dropping cheekbones at a moment's notice!

    amazon.com, @maybelline / Via instagram.com

    Promising review: "I had seen makeup artists/experts talk about what a highlighter can do for mature skin, so I was eager to try this. You would never know it wasn't expensive. I live at the beach and don't wear heavy makeup and find that adding this beautiful gold highlight to my face is perfect for me. It glides on smoothly. I put it right under my eyebrow to open my eyes, on my cheeks below my crow's feet, the cupid's bow, and down the center of my nose.

    The gold just agrees with my skin, different lighting, and my lifestyle. It's how it reflects light. It brings out my cheekbones. I will wear it every day. This fun metallic highlighter just makes me happy! Get it. You can't go wrong." —Krista

    Get it from Amazon for $7.49+ (available in four shades).

    8. A bi-phase (shake to mix!) Glow Recipe Watermelon Glow Ultra-Fine Mist packed with 84% watermelon, hyaluronic acid, and hibiscus AHAs to refresh/soften/illuminate skin and enhance makeup in a few spritzes of delightful watermelon ~fog~. Forget the second round of coffee, and meet your new afternoon wakeup call!

    Glow Recipe

    Promising review: "I have used this both as a quick midday boost in hydration and as a setting spray for makeup, and both ways yielded awesome results. Instant hydration and a little bit of a glow that lasted all day. Also, for what it's worth, it's almost the end of my day and my eyeliner and concealer haven't budged — usually I'm touching up by now. And it has the same delicate, natural watermelon scent as the rest of the line." —stylestudent

    Get it from Sephora or Glow Recipe for $28.

    9. A dual-sided water-resistant eyeliner stamp that'll save you from yourself and be the helping hand you need to create the perfect cat eye — the stamp guarantees you get matching wings in a snap, but you can always customize and thicken them with the pen for ~more drama~.

    amazon.com, Amazon

    Promising review: "I am new to makeup and eyeliner is something I have not mastered. I've tried making wings free-handed in the past, but it takes forever and they never look even. I just received my product yesterday and have only used it twice, but I can confidently say that this stamp is AMAZING! I was able to do my eye makeup this morning in less than five minutes. There are two dual-sided pens: one for the left and one for the right. Each pen has a stamp and a liner. I stamped both eyes then connected the rest of my waterline to the stamps with the liner provided on the other end of the pen. I was nervous about the quality of the eyeliner, but it's just as good as anything else I have! As a mama of two who has minimal time in the morning to get out the door, this product is going to be a lifesaver! It also stays put really well. I was so excited to try this out yesterday when I received it that I put it on before I went to work out. After sweating pretty heavily for an hour my wings stayed in place, no smudging! Will definitely reorder." —Bridgman, MI

    Get a two-pack from Amazon for $9.97 (available in two sizes).

    10. A bottle of Cosrx Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence with a whopping 96% filtered snail mucin can replenish dull, stressed, and dehydrated skin in just a few seconds — hello, instant glow!

    Amazon

    Promising review: "This makes my face look so dewy and bright immediately after using it! It's become an essential part of my K-beauty routine. I apply it after letting my Etude House Wonder Pore Freshener and before the Skin Food Peach Sake Serum. My skin has never looked better." —Amazon Customer

    Get it from Amazon for $16.29.

    11. A few dabs of Coty Airspun Loose Face Powder to control excess oil/shine and minimize the appearance of large pores with just a few pats for the ultimate matte, ~blurring~ effect. Instagram filters, your business isn't needed. Not today, not ever.

    amazon.com, Amazon

    Promising review: "I am totally blown away by this product! I have been consistently using a more expensive powder for about six months, and was dissatisfied with the fact that my skin appeared greasy/oily by the end of the work day. By 5 p.m. I have been wearing my makeup for about 10 hours. I also live in a warm climate and have oily skin. By the end of my work day using this powder, my face is still very matte! I am THRILLED! This way outperforms the other powder and is 13% of the cost. I can't believe it. I'm never going back." —AlexisJulian

    Get it from Amazon for $5.97+ (available in six shades).

    12. A oil-free Missha Super Aqua Ultra Waterfull Clear Cream containing baobab tree extracts and glacial water for an instant bump-up in moisture, so your skin goes from dull to dewy in a few seconds — and if you've got some excessive sebum lurking around midday, this also helps with that!

    Sarah Han / BuzzFeed / Via buzzfeed.com

    This is one of my favorite moisturizers! The best part is that it takes what feels like seconds to absorb. It just melts right in, gives my skin a serious ~plump bump~, and it's so satisfying to apply. And because you can barely feel it once it's on, it's one of the few moisturizers I actually enjoy wearing under my makeup. My skin errs on the combination side, especially during the summer, and this gel-like formula (even though it has 'cream' in its name) deeply hydrates without clogging my pores or generally upsetting it. It's also slightly cooling, which is awesome, and you only need a small amount of it to cover your whole face!

    Get it from Amazon for $19 or Soko Glam for $26.

    13. Etude House Dear Darling Tints for a quick swipe of pigmented but weightless color on your lips. They're long-lasting and, if at all, they fade super prettily — I love applying them all over or concentrating the color in the middle for a gorgeous blotted lip look!

    Sarah Han / BuzzFeed, Amazon

    Promising review: "I'm honestly so impressed at how opaque this stain is. After 3 layers it's like a lipstick! I kiss my hand and nothing transfers. It's a gorgeous color. It's not drying, so you don't have to break the transfer seal with a lip balm." —jlove

    Get them from Amazon for $5.83+ (available in 12 shades).

    14. A cruelty-free, safe-for-sensitive-lids Essence Cosmetics False Lash Effect Mascara to majorly boost your lashes with unbelievable volume — so much that *everyone* will be asking what mascara you're wearing — for just a few bucks. Life is generally hard, but getting fabulous lashes isn't thanks to this bb!

    amazon.com, @essence_cosmetics / Via instagram.com

    Promising review: "I have super sensitive eyes and have been using $30 mascara for years because of it (I get hives on my eyelids with the real cheap stuff). I saw a review for this and figured I would try it out since it was so inexpensive and had such great reviews. HOLY MOLY was I amazed. My lashes look fake. My dentist and hygienist both asked me to take out my phone to tell them the name of this mascara so that they could order it. Pretty amazing. I'm a makeup addict and will 100% recommend this to everyone." —Sydney

    Get it from Amazon for $4.99 (also available in Sculpted Volume and Waterproof variations).

    15. Nip + Fab Glycolic Fix Daily Cleansing Pads to tackle breakouts with just a few gentle yet effective swipes of its resurfacing abilities, made up of 2.8% glycolic acid, witch hazel, and hyaluronic acid — because achieving glowing skin shouldn't cost an arm and leg, or require a super extensive routine!!

    @nipandfab / Via instagram.com

    Promising review: "One pad a day keeps all the bad stuff away. This is one of those AHA products that changed everything for me. I couldn't suggest more. As long as I'm using these my skin will be pretty good, even if I'm tired and skip all my other stuff. Pretty much stopped my hormonal acne in its tracks, and my skin feels way more luminous. If they ever discontinue these I will stockpile cases in my garage. These are just the best!" —emmaline

This product is creamy, soft, pigmented, and dries to a nice matte finish. It doesn't dry out your lips and lasts a pretty long time." —Emily King

    17. Or, for a glossy option, Buxom Full-On Plumping Lip Polish for visible-from-across-the-room shimmer and a cooling/tingling touch that's perfect for summertime and also causes lips to ~appear~ fuller, thanks for a unique peptide complex. We love a moisturizing lip gloss that does double duty!

    @buxomcosmetics / Via instagram.com, @buxomcosmetics / Via instagram.com

    Promising review: "It LOOKS, FEELS, tastes, and smells AMAZING!! And it actually gives the 'illusion' of plump lips by using lighter shades and the high shine + shimmer accents your lips. It tingles when you apply it, which feels really nice, and it's actually addicting, I kept reapplying it all day long even when I didn't need to, because I loved it so much! I personally think *all* the colors are gorgeous and 99% of them would look great on 99% of the population. They are so versatile! I ordered 'Claire' because it had a more natural lip color to it, but has a shimmery-glittery sheen. This color is great for all types of makeup combos, day, night, professional, you name it." —Ash

    Get it from Amazon for $21 (available in 94 colors).

    18. The Ordinary Caffeine Solution 5% + EGCG, a super lightweight, fast-absorbing eye serum with a 5% concentration of caffeine, as well as EGCG derived from green tea leaves, to give dark circles and under-eye puffiness a well-deserved ~wake up~ call.

    The Ordinary

    Like most The Ordinary products, this bb is cruelty-free, vegan, and formulated with alcohol, oil, silicones, nuts, or gluten.

    Promising review: "Beats out $75+ eye serums hands down! I have always had dark circles under my eyes, not for lack of sleep but good ol' genetics. I could make them disappear with enough concealer and some eye creams would lessen them but they would never fully go away. Until now. I kid you not, within two days, I wasn't reaching for the concealer. I can't live without this stuff now and completely stopped using any other eye cream, because none of them work nearly as well as this. If you need to, it's also light enough to layer under another eye product. It absorbs almost instantly — just try it." —Jameson

    Get it from Ulta for $6.70.

    19. A multitasking Stila One Step Correct Serum can color correct (see ya' later, redness!!), brighten, hydrate, and prime your skin all at the same damn time — even if you're starting with sunburnt skin. This has you covered, period.

    amazon.com, @stilacosmetics / Via instagram.com

    Promising review (for Correct): "I have pale, sensitive skin that sometimes gets a tad red around the nose. This is perfect because it evens, brightens, and takes away redness all in one cream. No more layering primers to get the right effect. I often wear it as my only skin coverage just because it evens and brightens so well that's it's all I need. I've tried 20 different primers and this is my fave." —Stacy O.

    Get it from Amazon for $36 (available in Correct, Illuminate, and Prime).

    20. A Burt's Bees Herbal Complexion Stick that'll instantly calm down redness/inflammation, exfoliate dead skin cells (thanks, willow bark and calendula), and work its magic on getting rid of pesky zits as soon as they dare to show up — thanks to pore-cleaning tea tree and juniper oils!

    Amazon

    Promising review: "I always keep this stuff on hand. I don’t get pimples that often but when I feel one coming on or one has suddenly appeared, I usually can count on it going away or at least going down significantly by the next day thanks to this product. Most of the time I spread it on nightly in case in areas I am more prone to getting one and I’ll even put it on during the day under makeup if I feel like it is still noticeable. I love that it’s natural and doesn’t dry my skin at all. It’s def a fave of mine." —C.E.S.

    Get it from Amazon for $13.24.

    21. A pump or two of Kevyn Aucoin Glass Skin Face Gloss for an almost-too-easy method of achieving a ~dewy dumpling~ or ~glass skin~ look — you can apply it alone, but it looks especially natural when it's mixed in with foundation.

    Sarah Han / BuzzFeed / Via buzzfeed.com, @kevynaucoin / Via instagram.com

    I'm wearing Prism Rose in the photo above, btw!

    Promising review: "OH. My. This is it. Upon first pump, I was scared. Crystal Clear has definite blue shift when applied heavily. However, applied as a thin veil and worked into the skin, this is perfection. My skin is actually dewy. Blade of grass on a spring morning: my skin. It is not sticky or tacky. It does not move into any fine lines. It does not highlight any texture. It does transfer and it does melt down to my cheeks a bit, but that just adds to the look. I've worn this over foundation and over bare skin, and have had the same results." —KathleenErin

    Get it from Sephora for $32 (available in three shades).

    22. A compact jade gua sha tool to help ~untense~ facial muscles, break down scar tissue, stimulate blood flow, increase collagen production, and decrease puffiness — plus, who wouldn't want to take a few minutes out of their day for a relaxing facial massage??

    Amazon

    For added skincare benefits (and smoother ease of use), pair with your fave, lightweight oil like jojoba!

    Promising review: "This product helped bring life to my skin! I struggle with uneven complexion and under-eye bags and after just the first two uses of this tool I can see a clear difference. I use a light oil when using the tool. It also helped reduce the eczema on my chin." —Amazon Customer

    Get it from Amazon for $11.99.

    23. A Honest Beauty Magic Beauty Balm to soothe dry skin, lips, and cuticles as well as highlight cheekbones, and tame flyaways. Take this everywhere you go! You'll be glad you did.

    Amazon, @honest_beauty / Via instagram.com

    Promising review: "I love this product! I will admit, I was a bit apprehensive. But I am so happy I purchased this beauty balm! It gives me a glossy highlight that powder highlights just cannot achieve. I have super dry skin so achieving the dewy fresh faced look has always been a challenge for me. This product changed the game. I use it on my cheekbones and also for my fly-aways. It keeps those suckers down and gives my hair a soft, healthy shine. When I wear hairspray my hair looks wet and crispy almost. I was nervous about putting it over a powder blush I wear, but it does not create a paste — it just sits beautifully. I have gotten so many compliments on my glowy appearance. I don't tell people this is my little secret lol! This is the best product!! LOVE." —Amazon Customer

    Get it from Amazon for $12.99 (also available in a stick version).

    24. A bottle of La Roche-Posay Thermal Spring Water Mist for a face refresh whenever it's feeling a little dull, tired, irritated, or overheated, thanks to soothing micro-droplets formulated with selenium (which is a powerful natural antioxidant).

    @larocheposayusa / Via instagram.com

    Promising review: "As a lingering side effect from past Accutane use, I have chronically dry skin. Accordingly, everything in my routine is all about hydrating and moisturizing my skin. I use serums, oils, creams, and masks with this in mind, but during the day in the wintertime I still find that my skin feels occasionally dry and tight. I LOVE keeping this at my desk at work to spritz on my skin throughout the day when I notice that it's feeling parched. It does a good job of instantly making my skin feel soothed without messing up my makeup. I also quite like bringing it on beach vacations to spray on my face and chest when I feel like cooling off, but don't want to jump into the water." —Chicago Book Addict

    Get it from Amazon for $11.05+ (available in three sizes).

    25. Bamboo and charcoal oil-absorbing tissues that'll blot away excess oil at a moment's notice whenever you start lookin' a little shinier than you'd like — they barely weigh anything and will fit into any pocket or purse, and they're made with 100% natural linen fibers, so they're super gentle!

    Amazon

    Promising review: "I have been searching for something as effective as this for a long time now. I have extremely oily skin. I live in the Caribbean and whether I wear foundation or not, very early in the day my face is covered in oil, mostly over my T-zone. I tried this and it is excellent. It picks up the oil quickly, leaving my face naturally matte for hours. I am well-pleased with the light weight of the sheets. The pack fits perfectly in my purse or jeans pockets. I have no dislikes. I will stock up on it. Anyone with oily skin will find this as a must-have." —Melisa

    @kajabeauty / Via instagram.com, Sephora

    Promising review: "Okay I'll admit the heart shaped spongey thing that comes with this can be extremely off-putting, BUT if don't use that and instead pounce your Beautyblender into the cushion and then apply, it's actually STUNNING!!! It is my first time trying a cream brush and anything from this brand but I AM IN LOVE!! TRY IT!!!!!!" —MamaMiabia

    Get it from Sephora for $28 (available in four shades).
