    2. A Vivienne Sabó Cabaret Première mascara designed to lengthen your lashes AND curl them! You can nix your lash curler ~and~ the need to learn how to apply lashes!

    Instagram / Vivienne Sabó,

Promising review: "I never write reviews for things but this mascara was just so great I felt like I had to! I love lashes and my friends are used to me wearing thick coats of mascara at all times. Despite this, I got complimented on my lashes basically every time I wore this mascara this week. Multiple people even asked if I had extensions! This mascara isn't clumpy at all and makes your lashes look super long and defined without sticking them together. I've never had any problems with flaking and although it isn't waterproof, I've definitely used eyedrops, shed a tear, and gotten stuck in rain without them smudging or running down my face. All in all, this is my new holy grail mascara, and I'm thrilled!" —Sophie Johnson

Get it from Amazon for $12.

    3. Burt's Bees Sensitive Makeup Wipes because if you're gonna start wearing makeup, then you need to know the end-of-day rules: Don't sleep in your makeup! You should wipe it off before bed. These cotton wipes are gentle on skin and made with aloe extract to calm and soothe your face.

Get them from Amazon for $3+ (available in three quantity choices).

    4. An E.l.f Cosmetics Blush palette in a cream or powder finish that'll instantly bring more life to your face without you having to contour, highlight, or bronze a THING. The palettes come in two options — light or deep — to suit a variety of skin tones and each palette has four shades to mix, match, and layer.

    Instagram / E.l.f. Cosmetics / Via, E.l.f. Cosmetics

I use the powder blush palette regularly and I LOVE it because it doesn't look ashy, gives my deep complexion the perfect flush, and feels comfortable on my skin. The shades from this palette can also be used as eyeshadow! Just put on your foundation and/or concealer, then brush this blush lightly across your cheeks and lids. It's a quick, easy look that never goes out of season and will compliment any skin tone! This is also a good blush palette to get because it's pigmented but not SO pigmented that it'll bombard your face with way too much color. This palette is buildable so you can gradually layer color and you get to avoid the clown face.

Get the cream palette from E.l.f. Cosmetics for $8 (available in soft and bold choices) and the powder version for $5.60 (originally $8; available in two complexion choices).

    5. Eyeshadow patches to put underneath your eyelids and prevent fall out from ruining your foundation. You could also use these to get a smooth winged eyeliner look or on your lips to make sure your lipstick and/or lip liner has perfect lines.

Promising review: "These are such handy little things! It’s the worst when you spend so much time putting on your eyeshadow and you get fallout under your eyes. These have saved me from that! They're easy to use and a fantastic price!" —Melissa Darreld Bowers

Get them from Amazon for $7.98 (available in a 100-count pack).

    6. Coty Airspun Loose Face Powder to give your face a matte finish after applying your makeup. This'll also make a great alternative if you don't like spritzing yourself in the face with setting spray.,,

Several reviewers noted that this loose powder has NO FLASHBACK, which means if you have a deeper skin tone, it won't make your face look ashy in person or on camera!

Promising review: "It's perfect! It comes with so much product and the puff it comes with is pretty handy. The application is smooth and is great for baking. My makeup came out flawless. I set my makeup with this and worked out right after. THERE WAS NO SEPERATION AND NO CREASING. This powder blessed me. GOD BLESS." —Andrea

Get it from Amazon for $5.39.

Promising review: "This is some kind of miracle cloth, I’m pretty sure. I was tired of using oily eye makeup removers and still having to scrub with makeup wipes to remove it all. This cloth does both and it actually got ALL my eye makeup off. I wasn’t left with that weird dirty looking rim of old eyeliner. I’m buying one for my sister, my mom, and pretty much anyone I love who wears makeup." —Amazon Customer

These concealers are creamy and will also hydrate your skin.

Instagram / NYX Cosmetics / Via

Apply the color that will conceal the spot that you want to cover and then put your foundation on top of it as usual. NO, you won't have a purple spot or green spot of concealer sitting on your face. Once you apply your foundation, it won't be detectable at all. Happy blending!

    11. A dual-ended eyeliner stamp because cheating your way to a FLAWLESS winged eyeliner look is honestly goals. No seriously, you're gonna save so much time. One scroll through the photos in the Amazon reviews of this product will show perfect winged eye after perfect winged eye!

Promising review: "Let me start by saying this isn't my first cat-eye rodeo. I've tried the taping method, normal liquid liner, plastic winged stamping devices, stencils, and more! So when I saw this I thought, 'Meh, why not give it a shot?' It's not like my hopes were high since nothing else has worked as it should. Well, this gem arrived and I immediately had to try it out, all while laughing at how terrible this would probably turn out. To my surprise, I put the left cat-eye on first and it was perfect aside from needing to connect it to my current liner. I thought this was a fluke and did the right eye... Again, it came out clean and perfect! I HAVE NEVER IN MY LIFE BEEN ABLE TO DO A CAT-EYE IN UNDER 10 MINUTES, LET ALONE THE 2 MINUTES THIS TOOK TO DO! There were no sloppy streaks that I had to touch up or anything you would expect. Just a clean crisp line. I love that it has two ends as well, one with the stamp and one with a thin tip so you can connect your liner and cat-eye. I can now do a cat-eye EVERY day and look/feel like a baddie and everyone can think I spend hours doing my make-up in the morning." —LadyMeow

Get it from Amazon for $13.97.

    12. A Kylie Cosmetics Lip Kit that'll come with lip liner and lipstick so you don't have to do the work of piecing those two products together on your own. The lip liner is also, of course, the perfect way to make sure you don't color outside of the lines with your lipstick.

    Kylie Cosmetics

    13. An acrylic desktop organizer now that you're DEF going to need because once you start collecting makeup, it's going to be so fun (and look so pretty displayed in your house) that you're going to be shameless about NEVER wanting to stop.

Promising review: "I searched Amazon for over an hour trying to find some kind of makeup organization for all of my makeup. I usually just throw all of my makeup into a plastic food container or ziplock baggie and it was just becoming very annoying. For one thing, it was making my makeup super dirty because all of it was just being thrown around together. So finally I found this gem and I absolutely love it! It came in two pieces that fit together perfectly and inside the drawers is a kind of rubber mesh that keeps your makeup from sliding around. It isn't gigantic by any means but it is the perfect size to keep all of the makeup I use regularly. I may have to purchase another kind of storage from this company again soon for my other makeup because I have way too much! But I love the compartments. Everything has its place now and the best part is that this was a great deal. The price was affordable and the quality of this storage set is so great. Thanks so much!" —Ashley C.

Get it from Amazon for $13.99+ (available in 21 styles).

    14. The Anastasia Beverly Hills x Jackie Aina Palette to help you kick off your relationship with eyeshadow in the most pigmented way possible! This palette comes with 14 shades ranging from neutral mattes to eye-popping metallics. You'll also get a dual-ended brush for applying the shades on the go with ease.

    Anastasia Beverly Hills

I own this eye shadow palette and it's freaking BOMB! This is also the emergency palette that I bought for my best friend when our hired makeup artist didn't show up or call ON THE DAY OF HER WEDDING. We sped to Ulta, grabbed this palette, and it was PERFECT. The colors worked on all our various skin tones (ranging from light to dark) and my bestie's wedding photos came out looking GORGEOUS. Also, I always recommend higher-end powder eye shadow palettes for beginners and you wanna know why? Eye shadow was the last thing I learned to apply to my satisfaction because I started off with cheaper brands that didn't have the pigment that could hang with the looks I wanted to create. No shade to drugstore brands because some are pretty good but it's always smart to go ahead and invest in eye shadow with good color payoff and that will also LAST throughout the day — and it honestly doesn't get better than Anastasia Beverly Hills.

Get it from Sephora for $45 or Ulta for $45.

    15. OR, E.l.f. Cosmetics Beautifully Bare Smooth Matte Liquid Eyeshadow that'll take all of the work out of applying a little color to your eyes. You won't need a brush or concealer to clean up the edges since this stick shadow's doe-foot applicator will help you quickly swipe on a smooth liquid eye look. Yup, this definitely needs to be incorporated into your running-late-but-gotta-be-glam routine.

    E.l.f. Cosmetics

Promising review: "I'm not normally one for liquid or cream eyeshadows because in my experience they've always creased or slid around on my oily lids. I was very pleasantly surprised by this shadow because it stayed put all day and looked just as pigmented and smooth as when I put it on. It makes a great base for other shadows or it can be blended out really easily to be worn on its own for the easiest out-the-door look ever. This is probably the one eye product I grab the most when I just need something simple." —Radiochu

Get it from E.l.f. Cosmetics for $4 (available in four shades).

    16. Fenty Beauty by Rihanna Gloss Bomb Universal Lip Luminizer that you can wear alone as a gloss or a topper for your lipstick. I own and love the Fenty Glow shade because it's non-sticky and actually keeps my lips moisturized for longer than any other lip gloss I've tried. If you're just getting started in this makeup game and not ~quite~ ready for lipstick, then you won't go wrong with having this super flattering gloss in your bag.

Instagram / Fenty Beauty / Via, Sephora

Promising review: "I was skeptical about the rave reviews on this product and I'm not a huge fan of lip glosses for these reasons: They're not long-lasting or hydrating and having a tacky/sticky feel. BUT. This gloss is something different! I wear it almost every day when not wearing another lip product for these reasons: The color is flattering for all skin tones. It doesn't have the tacky/sticky feel. It's also hydrating even after most of the gloss is wiped off. There is the feeling of a hydrating balm left on. It's easy to apply and smells wonderful! This would be a product I'd recommend or purchase for a friend." —Kphrom

Get it from Sephora for $18.

    17. A crystal makeup brush holder that'll bring the razzle-dazzle to your brush collection. By the way, reviewers used it to hold way more than just makeup brushes. This multipurpose container can work as a flower vase, a pencil holder, or a toothbrush cup!

Also, I'd only be cheating you if I didn't spill the beans about there being a matching vanity tray to go with this crystal makeup brush holder. It's BEYOND glam and your dresser or vanity would so thank you for having it.

Promising review: "I loved this makeup brush holder since the first time I saw it on Amazon. It’s so fancy. When it arrived, I loved it even more. It’s gorgeous and makes my vanity even prettier." —Tais Decker

Get it from Amazon for $11.89 and the vanity tray for $29.80.

    18. Glossier Perfecting Skin Tint for anyone who wants to blur imperfections with a light layer without going for a full face of makeup. It's meant to even out discoloration and give you a dewy, skin-like finish. Mmhmm. Your no-makeup makeup game is about to be super popping and you don't have to touch any foundation.

Promising review: "I don't really know how to fully describe this product to make you aware of just how amazing it is. It is a tint but it's an amazing tint that blends into my face so nicely that it genuinely looks like I have a naturally flawless face. I will say that my skin is not prone to many spots (anymore!!) and I didn't have acne when I was younger, but I still have a very uneven looking tone and very purple under eyes. The skin tint is enough to cover up these without looking like actual makeup... Overall, this has got to be my favorite product from Glossier, and I will continue to buy it as long as I can." —Glossiyay

Get it from Glossier for $26 (available in 12 shades).

    19. An Ecotools Retractable Face Brush that'll let you blend your foundation LIKE A DREAM. I've been using this brush for years and it's super soft yet super effective. The brush is so plush that I also use it to buff my concealer in the same way that you might use a beauty sponge and it gives me the same results. Its retractable design and removable top make it the PERFECT travel companion since you can stick it in your bag without worrying about stuff getting on your brush or your brush getting makeup all on the inside of the bag.

Get it from Ulta for $5.99 (originally $9.99).

    20. Schick Silk Touch-Up Dermaplaning Tools to shape your brows perfectly so you spend less time trying to create a shape with a brow pencil. These dermaplaning tools will also remove peach fuzz so your face will be a smoother canvas for your makeup!, Amazon,

Promising review: "These little guys work perfectly for dermaplaning! I used one the other night after I washed and applied toner to my face. It’s been a couple of days and my skin still feels baby soft. I didn’t have any sort of reaction or anything to the exfoliation which was nice because I have severe cystic acne. My makeup goes on so smooth and I finally have that glowing look I’ve been trying to get! I will definitely be buying these again." —Hannah Jean

Get them from Amazon for $4.99+ (available in a three-pack and nine-pack).

    21. CeraVe Eye Repair Cream that'll keep the sensitive area around your eyes moisturized while smoothing and brightening dark circles. Giving your eye area extra TLC is a MUST now that you're planning to wear shadows, glitters, and concealers on/near your eyes.

This eye repair cream is fragrance-free and hypoallergenic. I have sensitive skin and I use it regularly near my eyes. I apply a little extra on weeks when I'm putting more concealer and/or eye shadow near my eyes than normal just to make sure that area stays hydrated.

Get it from Amazon for $10.77.

    22. Avarelle Acne Absorbing Cover Hydrocolloid Patches to treat acne spots and redness overnight by decreasing their size so your skin is a smoother canvas for makeup.

    Instagram / Avarelle,

Promising review: "I’ve tried so many brands of pimple spots and these are hands-down the best on the market. I’m a performer at Walt Disney World and a clear complexion is required. Last night, I put these on a few acne problems — a small cyst, a whitehead, and a pimple that I shouldn’t have picked and has been a bump for about three weeks now. I just woke up and am writing this review in disbelief. THEY'RE FLAT! Gone! All of them! I could cry I’m so happy. The packaging is also ideal because it allows you to conveniently and easily peel the stickers off without stretching them out or folding them back on themselves. Do yourself and your complexion a huge favor! Have these on hand for a stubborn zit when you really want it gone. Make sure you apply them to completely clean and dry skin." —Caitlyn

Get them from Amazon for $8.50 (40 patches in one pack).

    23. Anastasia Beverly Hills Clear Brow Gel for a beginner who knows they wanna do something with their brows but isn't exactly ready to do any full-out sculpting. This gel will clean up your brows with only one or two swipes and hold them in place ALL day.

    Anastasia Beverly Hills

This clear gel is also great for anyone who already has pretty thick eyebrows and doesn't want to fill them in or wax them. If you do still prefer to fill your brows in, this clear gel is the perfect second step for cleaning them up and holding them in place.

Promising review: "I literally bought this two days ago and now I'm wondering why I didn't buy it sooner! I can't get over how great my brows look. They look so even and stay in place for so long! I have some stubborn hairs that are no longer so stubborn now that I use the brow gel! I shouldn't be surprised by how great this is though... Anastasia brow products are always AMAZING!" —Christinams1

Get it from Sephora for $22 or Ulta for $22.

    24. A Beakey Makeup Brush Set that includes 10 brushes, one beauty sponge, and one brush cleaner egg set to help you apply all your makeup smoothly and easily from wherever you are!

Promising review: "SOFTEST BRUSHES EVER! I kid you not, I was very skeptical about purchasing these because of course, it’s a random online buy, but I am so glad I did! All of these brushes perform better than my high-end ones. The packaging it came in was ADORABLE and I’m saving the box because it’s a flawless marble." —Tatiana

Get it from Amazon for $9.99.
