People Are Sharing The Weirdest Thing Their School Did That They Thought Was Normal And It's Definitely Not Normal

A few days ago, @babyfacebltch asked TikTok users to share the strangest things their schools did that they thought were normal:

She shared that farm animals freely roamed the bottom level of her small Pennsylvania school, that she had to pass a square dancing class for P.E., that she learned how to barrel roll out of kayaks in an indoor pool, and students paid to participate in all-nighter school lockdowns for charity.

Right away, the comments section started getting flooded with bizarre things people did at their schools growing up.

This school had a day where students were forced to chug gallons of milk until they puked:

"Milk Day. People would bring gallons of milk and you had to drink them. Everyone would vomit No one knows how it started."

And this school had eggnog chugging competitions:

"eggnog drinking competitions on stage. everyone puked"

This school had a very odd way of helping students deal with anger:

"the 'distroy car' basically a junk car that we could go and take a sledgehammer and hit it (with supervision) if we got upset

This school had a creepy tradition with the principal:

"The Principal would dress up as Santa and you would pay money to sit on his lap and take a picture [wide-eyed emoji]

And this school had a horrific way of disciplining students:

"In elementary the school had a option to where you could get physical spanked by the principal if you did something wrong (only if parents signed)

This school forced students to sleep in igloos in freezing temperatures:

"We had a wilderness thing and they forced us to sleep in igloos we built in middle of winter for like 3 days n every year someone got hypothermia [skull emoji]

This school had a very scary way of keeping kids from skipping class:

"Okay so I have fencing with barb wire all around the school it was to keep kids from jumping it and leaving school early [wide-eyed emoji]

This school had a twisted way of introducing freshmen to high school:

"There would be freshmen blindfolded and told that a senior would come kiss them. Then their parents would come and kiss them...

And this school had very untraditional pep rally activities:

"at pep rallies at my school they would have kissing games. kids would put on lipstick and try to kiss other kids. teacher condoned it.

This school paid kids to starve themselves for over a day:

"We paid to go 30h without eating. It was only for the seniors and you got to stay at school the whole time"

This school had full-on fake marriages and families:

"We had senior weddings, we did matchmaking, then planned our lives together, chose to get married or not and then carried around an egg as our fake baby"

This school allowed students to literally set themselves on fire:

"In chemistry, we had the option to set ourselves on fire (safely) for an experiment"

This school had a lettuce club where you literally just ate heads of lettuce:

"We had a lettuce eating club. They met once a year, had a race for who could eat a head fastest. Winner became president"

This school had a very untraditional way of getting a day off:

"On the last day of each month we would have to try and crack the most eggs on our head and whoever cracked the most would get to stay home the next day"

This school had a strict policy where you couldn't walk on the grass:

"We weren't allowed to sep on the grass.. immediate suspension if you did

But it wasn't too out of the ordinary for some schools to have a fight week...

"We had fight week. Literally a whole week dedicated to fighting just for the hell of it....."

"Fight week!!!"

...Or a fight club:

"freshman fight club....I am not joking"

And donkey basketball wasn't as uncommon as you might think:

"We did donkey basketball. The staff ride donkeys and play basketball in the gym [emoji laughing while crying]

This school thought very highly of cow poop:

"anyone else do a cow drop? cows pooped on the football field and if it landed in your square you got a prize!"

Apparently, several schools had a thing for cow poop:

This school had students chug root beer during every lap of the mile:

"the rootbeer mile. students volunteered to run 7 laps around our bus loop which equalled a mile, and on each lap they had to chug a cup rootbeer"

This school had a special day where students could drive their tractors to school:

"Drive your tractor to school day. It might be more common that I think but usually people are shook when I bring it up"

And this school had designated parking spots for things other than cars:

"we had reserved parking spots for tractors and snowmobiles/4 wheelers"

This school had a frog racing day:

"In my elementary they made us go home and catch frogs, u could only have one and put them in a special box and we would race them all day"

And this school watched their teachers spit pickles for entertainment:

"So, my school does a winter carnival. Every year. One of the games in the assembly, is literally seeing which teacher can spit a pickle, the farthest"
